Dr. Clarence Stafford, Chairman of Surgery Department, College of Medical Evangelist/Loma Linda University School of Medicine, formed a surgical group named White Memorial Surgical Group at White Memorial Medical Center in the mid 1950’s, The group’s name changed to Surgical Multispecialties Medical group in the 1980’s and has continued to the present as Surgical Multispecialties Medical Group at White Memorial Medical Center and Glendale Adventist Medical Center.
